The interest of Markus Schroll photographic series focuses on my particular way of understanding the duality natural and artificial world. Roads, woods, pieces of grass, tree trunks appear metaphorically in my photographic compositions as the last ghosts of the real world. I select natural elements wich I decontextualize in an artificial environment provoking unexpected and strange situations. The resulting images are not photo montages, but rather desired world scenes created and realized at the studio. There is not a digital treatment, light, scenery, instant are captured in the real moment, in the act of shooting the picture.
Photographer is just a random designer of materials which put them together in a built scenary. I combine in my photographie the studio work and the travel report.
Born in Rudesheim am Rhein, Germany. Studying photography and graphic design in the German city of Wiesbaden. He has done collaborations with German photographers (Kleeberg & Rink, Roger Richter etc). Among the exhibitions held in Germany highlighted: Wahrheiten, Wiesbaden University in 2003, Installation at Bodega Teschke, Rheinhessen in 1999 and Book of Silk, Zanders Feinpapiere Ag, exhibition itinerary: Berlin, Milan, Munich, Hamburg, Paris, Den Hag, London, Frankfurt and Bern. Since 2003 he permanently resides in Madrid where he has participated in group exhibitions as PHOCA '03 in Valdepeñas; Artenavas in Navas del Marqués (Ávila), Valencia ART 09, etc. He held his first individual in the gallery Jose Robles in 2008 with the exhibition "angular momentum" and in 2010 with the exhibition "Once upon a time the forest."
